The first edition of Stage Fire took place in July 2009 and was a huge success.

During the project, which was entirely dedicated to the culture of Ireland and especially to Irish dancing, an extraordinary dance show was created. After ten days of dance classes and rehearsals the show was ready to be presented to public. The final performance took place on July 30th in the Kijów Centrum where over 70 dancers from 14 different countries came together on one stage. The show was performed to live music by one of the finest Irish music bands in Poland – Carrantuohill, and over 400 people were there to watch it.

After that, several best choreographies were chosen for another show at the polish Woodstock Festival – the biggest open-air festival in Europe. The show was performed live in front of 400 000 people and made a big exclamation mark at end the 2009 project

Irish Dance workshops organized for the project are orientated for dancer on every level, from every school and organization, as well as for those who don't have a teacher on regular basis.

An Coimisiun Le Rinci Gaelacha has classified Stage Fire Dance Project as an "open workshop" and therefore it is not subject to the workshop association rule.
